Horton Style Head Removal

Here are some tips about removing the Head from a Horton Style Fan Clutch when the Jack Bolt is stripped or frozen.

1)  Cut the soft friction material and each of the head bolts with a grinder.

2) Apply a short burst of air to pop the head loose.

3) Proceed with regular replacement proceedure.
